Majmaah University is one of the public universities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the Riyadh region, and the university serves a geographical scope that includes the northern governorates of the Riyadh region. University Medical Center Holds First Aid Initiative in the Digital World

The University Medical Center held the First Aid in the Digital World initiative event in cooperation with the Community Service and Social Responsibility Observatory, which was held in the University Administration and Colleges Building on Sunday and Monday 10-11/9/2023 AD, where the medical team presented educational programs to visitors about first aid methods for emergency cases. As is known, a person may face difficult circumstances and situations that impose themselves suddenly and without warning, and when a person has the knowledge and awareness of how to act in such circumstances and situations, this may save a person’s life; that life that is priceless.
The primary goal of first aid is to prevent death or serious injury. The main goals of first aid can be summarized in three main points:
- Preserving life.
- Stopping harm or damage, such as removing the patient from the source of harm or the scene of the accident and applying pressure to wounds to stop bleeding.
- Promoting healing by providing initial treatment for the injury.
University Medical Center participates in seasonal influenza vaccine event

The University Medical Center participated in the awareness event on the importance of the seasonal influenza vaccine, which was held by the Volunteer Center at the Social Responsibility Observatory, as part of the initiatives it offers to care for society and health, and to enhance and activate social responsibility.
His Excellency the Advisor and Supervisor of Administrative, Financial and Technical Affairs, Professor Dr. Muslim bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, launched the event in the University Administration Building and the Supporting Deanships, which was held for three days in various buildings of the university administrations in Majmaah and Zulfi, where the work team presented medical brochures and educational materials on the importance of the vaccine and its benefits and developed a questionnaire for visitors about the event, from which more than 300 visitors benefited.

Based on the university's keenness to enhance its continuous role in achieving traffic awareness, the university launched a traffic safety exhibition (For your safety, be committed), which aims to spread traffic awareness and achieve one of the goals of the Quality of Life Program and the Kingdom's vision to reduce the rate of accidents. A number of government agencies, community sectors, and public education schools participated in the exhibition, which was held by the Salik Center for Traffic Safety in cooperation with the College of Nursing. His Excellency the Vice President for Development and Investment, Professor Dr. Muslim bin Muhammad Al-Dosari, inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of a number of deans of colleges and directors of departments at the university. His Excellency and the accompanying delegation toured the exhibition, which included the participation of more than 15 entities, and male and female students of the university and general education participated in it. In the presence of the Vice President for Development and Investment, the objectives of the Charter for Enhancing the Importance of Traffic Safety were transferred from the Applied College (represented by the CEO of the College, Dr. Shadi Al-Shuwaier) to the College of Nursing (represented by the Dean of the College, Dr. Ashwaq Asiri), as this charter is considered an initiative by the university to enhance the importance of traffic safety.
It is worth noting that the branch of the Applied College in Ramah was able to achieve the objectives of this charter during the previous year, and the College of Nursing will activate the objectives of the charter at the beginning of the academic year to reach an advanced level of traffic awareness programs directed at the college students and members of the community.

The university holds the annual meeting for new students for the academic year 1446 AH

The university, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, held the annual student meeting for the academic year 1446 AH, under the patronage of the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Saleh Al-Aboudi, and in the presence of the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Shahri, and the deans of colleges and supporting deanships, at the University City Theater in Majmaah.
The meeting began with a speech by the Vice President for Educational Affairs, who began by thanking God Almighty, then thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his Crown Prince - may God protect them - for the tremendous capabilities they have provided in all fields, especially the great support that education finds, the fruits of which are reaped by Al-Majmaah University. Then His Excellency presented a number of parental guidelines for male and female students, in which he emphasized adherence to values and morals, and choosing good company. Under the patronage of His Highness Prince Abdulrahman bin Abdullah bin Faisal Al Saud - Governor of Majmaah - and under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Muzal, and in the presence of the Governor of Al-Ghat, Professor Mansour bin Saad Al-Sudairy, and a number of directors of government departments, heads of centers, university vice-deans, deans of colleges and supporting deanships, directors of departments, and a number of university employees, the university celebrated the occasion of the ninety-first National Day, through a ceremony organized by the General Administration of University Relations and Media in the main theater of the university city in Majmaah, with the application of all preventive instructions and precautionary measures to prevent the Corona virus.
Upon the arrival of His Highness the Governor of Majmaah and the university guests, they were received by the President of the University, its deputies, deans of colleges, supporting deanships, and department directors. After that, a film entitled: (Corona passed by here) was shown, during which the people of this country were reviewed, through which they went through health pandemics and epidemics that ravaged them throughout history, and what was achieved, thanks to God Almighty, during this pandemic, in terms of controlling the spread of the Corona virus, and limiting its health and economic consequences and effects, thanks to God and then to the efforts made by our wise government and the great support that the health sector and all sectors of the state received to deal with this pandemic until it became an example to be emulated by the whole world, praise be to God.
Then, the attendees watched the film (The Nation’s Achievements in Numbers), during which the most important achievements of the nation during the Corona pandemic were reviewed, whether at the local or international level in all fields, despite the economic and health deterioration that the world is going through.
After that, an operetta prepared by the university was presented entitled: "This is Our Home", which was presented by a number of students. It contained artistic panels that began by emphasizing the merit of the leadership of this blessed country in embracing its sons with security and stability in all aspects of life, facilitating the path of knowledge and learning, and developing skills and capabilities. Another panel tells the story of the success of this country in overcoming the Corona pandemic, thanks to God and then to the wisdom and prudence of its leaders who made man, his safety and security first. Under the patronage of MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqren, the Directorate General of Public Relations and Media held an award ceremony for organizers of the 23rd Meeting of Directors and Rectors of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in GCC Countries. The ceremony took place at the auditorium of main campus in the presence of vice-rectors, deans, directors and staff.
Moderated by Mr. Mohamed Al-Eid, the ceremony began by a presentation highlighting the preparations made by the working committees for this meeting.
Addressing the audience, the Vice-Rector, Prof. Musallam Al-Dosari commended the efforts exerted by the organizing committee as well as others in organizing the meeting which gained the admiration of guests.
Thanks and appreciations are also extended to MU Rector who has been following-up closely the preparations for this event as well as to public sectors and Mu staff who have worked as one team.
The ceremony also featured a short presentation about the preparations and the media coverage for the event.

The university concluded its participation in the Fifth International Exhibition and Conference on Higher Education, which was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education under the generous patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - at the Riyadh International Exhibition and Convention Center in Riyadh. The university had presented itself among the universities through several activities in the exhibition, with which the pavilion achieved great successes as a result of the achievements displayed therein and the initiatives and contributions presented that were of interest. During the exhibition, gifts were distributed on this occasion at different levels, an introductory guide to the university, and a special supplement to the university newspaper, Tawasul, was issued, as well as a daily news bulletin about the pavilion’s activities, with the display of a number of films documenting the university’s achievements and projects since its establishment, supported by numbers and statistics on special screens in the pavilion. Copies of the films were distributed to visitors. The university also participated in the exhibition through a team from medical services that examined visitors, measured blood pressure and sugar, and provided guidance and awareness services. This initiative was well received by visitors. In a unique initiative, the university participated in the pavilion with students who had won gold medals and certificates of registration of inventions in the medical field. The invention that was presented was titled: A technique for measuring the percentage of bilirubin in the eye in a non-invasive manner, where an accurate image of the eye is taken, then the concentration of yellow spectra in the eye is analyzed using some mathematical and software equations and compared to the percentage of bilirubin in the blood resulting from the breakdown of red blood cells, and then entered into a computer program developed at the university ( BILICAPTIURE ) to add the data to a central database and extract the comparison result and determine the extent of the percentage of bilirubin. The accuracy of the results reached 93%. This invention won the gold medal at the 42nd International Exhibition of Innovations and Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland, which was held from April 2-6, 2014, corresponding to Jumada Al-Thani 2-6, 1435 AH. The university also participated for the first time in the exhibition, as part of the university’s initiatives to serve society in all its categories, with a modern bus with modified technical and technological specifications. To be a mobile electronic laboratory that tours cities, governorates and centers and provides various training courses that touch all aspects of the lives of members of society. The university’s pavilion was visited by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Anqari, His Excellency the Minister of Economy, Dr. Mohammed bin Sulaiman Al-Jasser, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Saif, Their Excellencies the directors of Saudi and foreign universities, university agents and academics, Their Excellencies the directors of government departments, and a number of dignitaries. The unique shape and elegant appearance of the university’s pavilion played a major role in attracting visitors to the exhibition, who came to inquire about the admission and registration mechanism, community service programs, postgraduate studies, and to learn about the university’s capabilities in all its units.
