Secretary of Scientific Board's Message

The establishment of the scientific board is of paramount significance for the achievement of the University overall objectives. The scientific board provides various services to all faculty members and researchers. The board acts in accordance with the functions stipulated by the ministry of Higher Education in the Kingdom as well as the vision of the University. The function of the board exceeds the application of regulations to developing and revising the regulations and communicating with organizing sectors if necessary.

The underlying functions of the board is: the recruitment of faculty members, Making the ultimate decision with regard to the promotion of faculty members, Setting rules to encourage academic publications, Recommending the establishment of academic institutions and the coordination with quality centers.

The board which was formed on 1/4/1431 H, is chaired by His Excellency the vice-rector for postgraduate studies and academic research and has 6 members of the faculty members. A number of meetings were held to discuss several issues, most importantly the distribution of the board’s tasks into 3 academic units: Recruitment Unit, Promotion Unit and Publishing and Translation Unit. A number of faculty members were promoted while others were recruited and transferred.
