The Seventh Standard Committee for Scientific Research and Innovation held its periodic meeting under the chairmanship of the Vice-Rector for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmed Al-Rumaih. The meeting addressed the indicators related to the standard, and they are the percentage of scientific publication by faculty members, the rate of published research per faculty member, and the rate of citations in journals for each faculty member, the number of patents, innovations, and excellence awards, the percentage of the budget allocated to scientific research, and the percentage of external funding for research. Other topics were also discussed including the mechanism for counting innovations, inventions, and research awards, as well as ensuring that all evidence, regulations, and job description files are updated.
