Importance of Al-Alifyya by Ibn Malik in Linguistic Studies

At the request of the dean of the College of Science and Humanities in Ghat, Dr. Omar Al-Omar and as part of its plan to develop students’ skills, the Student Activity Unit conducted a course entitled “Importance of Al-Alifyya by Ibn Malik in Linguistic Studies” on Sunday.
Presented by Dr. Sultan Al-Twalah, Assistant Professor, and supervised by Mr. Mahmoud Obaidat, coordinator of scientific committee, the course addressed the following topics:
1. Origin of Arabic language and its important schools
2. Notable Arabic language scholars, particularly in grammar science
3. Importance of Al-Alifyya by Ibn Malik in Linguistic Studies
4. Suggestions for studying and memorizing the book and its famous explanations
The aims of the course are:
1. Encourage participants to learn Arabic language
2. Propose a study plan of Arabic
3. Introducing the most important book in teaching Arabic language
The dean, Dr.Al-Omar pointed out that such courses are part of many other activities and programs targeting students who are expected to avail themselves of these courses in developing their skills.
