The Department of Law at the College of Science and Humanities participated in the fourth Arab International Conference on Forensic Science (ASFSFM) during the period from 27-29 November 2018.

The conference aims to explore modern practices in forensic science; to keep up-to-date on the latest scientific and research developments in the field; and to strengthen cooperation between the Arab Society for Forensic Science and regional and international institutions in the same field.

Dr. Mohamed Essa, a faculty member in the Department, presented a paper entitled "Protecting the right to genetic privacy".

These considerations were due to the importance of genetic information and its close connection to the life, health and social status of the individual.

The participation of the Department of Law in this important international conference is part of the college willingness to increase active participation in specialized scientific conferences.

The Dean of the College, Dr. Omar Al-Omar and the Head of the Department of Law, Dr. Abdullah Al-Shaweish expressed their appreciation to Dr. Mohammed Essa, Assistant Professor at the Department of Law for his valuable participation and representation of the College of Science and Humanities.
