Defendant’s Rights During Trial

The Student Activity Unit held a session titled "Defendant’s Rights During Trial", which was presented on Monday 4/3/1440 AH by Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, Assistant Professor of Criminal Law at the Department of Law.

The session addressed the following:

1. General introduction: The importance of the topic and the reasons for choosing it.
2. Section I: Court structure Assurances
3. Section II: Trial Assurances
4. Section III: Trial Procedures

Objectives of the course:
1. Introduce students to the court structure assurances
2. Introduce students to Trial Guarantees according to the procedural laws
3. Awareness of the rights of the accused during the trial
4. To have a better understanding of the procedural sanctions that apply to the proceedings in case the court does not comply with these guarantees.
