The Student Activity Unit held a training course entitled "Principles of Statistical Analysis using SPSS" which was presented on Monday 09/07/1439 by Dr. Abdel Moneim Ali Mohamed Hamad, Assistant Professor at the Mathematics Department at the College.
The course addressed the most important objectives and aspects of the statistical analysis process using SPSS, including:
• Introducing the most important statistical processes and procedures related to data characterization
• Defining the variables and determining their characteristics
• Entering data into the program, identifying and correcting errors in the data file.
These objectives were discussed through the following aspects:
• The first aspect: the basics of SPSS program and definition of variables
• The second aspect: data processing and how to deal with it.
The course included practical applications on how variables are defined, data entered and analyzed in a descriptive analysis using central scales and scattering parameters.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Omar bin Mohammed Al-Omar, stressed that these courses are part of the college preparations for many activities, programs and events targeting students.
He also stressed the need to provide students with all the necessary courses to develop their abilities and noted the desire of the students of the College to participate in the activities and programs offered by the College.
