MU Vice Rector’s Meeting with the Supervisory Committee Members

The Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Prof. Mohammed Al-Shaya'a had a meeting with the members of the Supervisory Committee of Majmaah University Award for Outstanding Scholarship Students.

The meeting focused on discussing the results of the screening of all submitted applications to the competent committee.

Prof. Al-Shaya'a reviewed the lists of scholarship recipients and discussed the mechanism of sending invitations and how to announce the results of the award.

The University Award for Outstanding Scholarship Students was launched by the Rector at the end of last semester, and was then open for applications.

The award targets the University scholarship students studying MA, PhD or fellowships, in addition to those who have completed their degrees abroad.

The activities of the award will be held annually; where the candidates can compete for any of the three branches of the Award:

1. The Outstanding Researcher Award: to be awarded to the student who publishes scientific research in highly refereed scientific journals.

2. The Academic Excellence Award: to be awarded to the student who is studying at one of the world's top universities.

3. The Scientific Creativity Award: to be awarded to the inventor who obtains a patent, or the scholarship recipient of a scientific award from accredited official institutions.

The Rector has expressed appreciation to launch the activities of the award, stressing that the University has been sponsoring hardworking students who aspire to achieve excellence in their respective fields.

Dr. Mohammed said that the University's ceremony will take place on Sunday 16/4/1440 to celebrate the achievements of the outstanding scholarship students.
