MU Rector, Dr. Khalid Al-Muqrin, inaugurated Majmaah University Award for Outstanding Scholarship Student. The aim of the award is to appreciate the scientific achievement of scholarship students.
In his speech, the University Rector said that “since the establishment of the University, students have been fully supported to be able to study hard and achieve their potential”, and all initiatives and awards aim to help them excel at what they do and be a model for other students.”
For his part, the Vice-Rector for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohammed Al-Shaya said that the University launches the award among the university scholarship students in order to celebrate the talented individuals, improve their research skills and creativity.
He added that the target group of the University Award is the scholarship students studying their master’s degrees and doctorates, fellowship or even students who are back.
Prof. Al-Shaya said that the Award, which will be held annually, has 3 categories:
1. The Top Researcher Award which will go to the best researcher with distinguished published research papers in a peer-reviewed journal;
2. The Top Student Award that goes to the student who obtains a degree from a highly recognized university;
3. The Creative Student Award that goes to an innovative student with a patent or an internationally accredited award.
