The Faculty of Science and Humanities in Hawtat Sedeir held a lecture entitled “Challenges Ahead”, which focused mainly on the problems lay ahead of the Faculty of Science and Humanities which impedes it from performing its responsibilities and achieving progress. Previous obstacles that have been overcome during the past years were illustrated along with various example solutions for future reference. Run by the Vice-dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Omar Al-Saiedi, the lecture revolved on several aspects of academia, community service, research as well as student activities. Furthermore, the propositions that were discussed at the session led to various recommendations concerning each aspect for future consideration. The participants at the presentation expressed their appreciation for having the opportunity to talk about their concerns in their respective fields, and to offer potential solutions to the current problems that might hinder the Faculty progress at several levels
