The College Quality Center holds a training program entitled (evaluating the faculty members’ teaching performance in the light of the quality of higher education) Within the framework of its events, the training unit of the College Quality and Development deanship has organized a training program for evaluating the teaching performance of the faculty members in the light of the quality of higher education and which has been presented by Dr. Youssef Bulula from the Business Administration Department, together with Dr. Mouna Tawakol Assayid, Assistant Professor -Mental Health and Special Education; Department of Educational Sciences- University of Al-majmaah. The program which targeted the faculty members aimed at providing them with the most important methods to be used and applied in lectures. It also talked about how to convey the information to the student, the idea and objectives of the course outputs in additions to raising their awareness about the importance of reserving their intellectual research production, and explaining how to follow up the newest courses, books, and reference that comply with the requirements and of quality standards and academic accreditation in the Kingdom. Dr. Bulula added that there is a big difference between teaching and learning the fact that should be understood and applied by the student, furthermore the distinction between theory and practice, in evaluation and performance, within the specifications and standards of the wide-ranging quality in higher education. He also spoke about the strength points and how to reinforce them, the weakness points and how to eliminate or avoid them through the students’ participation and interaction in the lectures, the efficiency of the teacher in drawing the student’s attention, and how the faculty member should follow the predetermined study plan within a certain amount of time, according to a specific schedule from the beginning of the semester. The session ended up with an open discussion, and it was recommended having more such programs and workshops and relying on varied expertise in addition to the skills and competences of the distinguished faculty members
