Dr Tariq Bin Suleiman Al-Bahlal, the College’s Dean, Held a Workshop Entitled “The Guiding Requirements to update the Vision, the Message, and the Goals of the College as well as its Educational Departments.” Given the Deanship’s recognition of the importance of the eleventh quality standard, issued by the National Commission of Quality and Accreditation, His Excellency the Dean of the college, Dr Tariq Bin Suleiman Al-Bahlal (Chairman of the First Criterion Committee)-Mission, Goals, and Objectives- on Monday, 06/07/1435AH a workshop that dealt with the most important guiding requirements that must be taken into account when determining the vision, the mission, and the objectives of the college and its educational departments. The lecture began with a statement about the importance of the vision, the mission, and the goals of any organization in the accreditation to those in charge of quality through the local and the global levels, which was highlighted by the Standard Committee in the prepared guide-being printed now- entitled “Guidelines to renovate vision, message, and goals”. Indeed, His Excellency the Dean showed its content indicating the guiding mechanisms that must to be followed when drafting the vision, the message, and the goals depending on the directives of the global and the local educational institutions, as some of them integrated the vision and the mission, while some of them separated both of them which is used by our university- the Majmaa. During the lecture, the confusion between the vision and the mission had been clarified. While, vision has been defined as that ambition and future we are working for and a declared dream we are seeking to accomplish, mission, as shown, must be clear and concise. Moreover, the opportunity was offered to the Committee members to elaborate on the inclusions of the guide that helps in formulating the college’s vision, mission, and goals as well as its educational departments. Besides, Dr Achraf Al-Beklich showed the keywords and the appropriate phrases for that, while Dr, Issam Abdurrahman had presented a matrix of adhesion between the college’s vision, mission, and goal and the university, and he explained the indexes required to be fulfilled within this procedure. Also, it is worth mentioning that the workshop activities were broadcasted to the female student via (the video conference) wherein female students were given the opportunity of active participation. Indeed, each department was assigned to discuss its vision, mission, as it was mentioned in the hearing record in preparation for its submission to the College Board for formal approval
