DR. ZAINAB MOKHTAR DELIVERS A LECTURE ENTITLED "Al BAQIAT ASSALEHAT"

As part of the activities of the religious lectures and lessons program, Dr. Zainab Mokhtar delivered a lecture entitled "Al Baqiat Assalehat" (The Enduring Good Deeds) on Wednesday, 22/04/1436 AH, at the College of Science and Human Studies female section at Hotat Sudair, amid a large number of the College faculty members and administrators. The lecture dealt with the concept, interpretation and the meaning of the enduring good deeds, which refer to four dhikr phrases: Subhan Allah (Limitless is Allah in His Glory), Alhamdu lellah (All praise is due to Allah), La ilaha illa Allah (There is no deity besides Allah), Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest). Dr. Zainab also mentioned the reason of calling the dhikr phrases as "The Enduring Good Deeds", saying that all in the universe is evanescent but everything that's a part of Allah or has been joined to Himself is lasting, as mentioned in the following ayah (verse): "Whatever you have will end, but what Allah has is lasting" . In addition, she explained that Allah the Almighty eulogized the phrase "the Enduring Good Deeds" in two verses in the Glorious Quran: "Wealth and children are but adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope." Al-Kahf, 46; "And Allah increases those who were guided, in guidance, and the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for recourse" Maryam, 76 . She also elaborated that the enduring good deeds are a better reward, a better hope and a better recourse, and that the recitation of them is deserving of two rewards: the welfare of one's self, and the welfare of one's wealth. The welfare of one's self means that the person who recites the rosary lives on good and honest hope, believing in Allah's fulfillment of His promises; The welfare of one's wealth, on the other hand, means that all the merits awaiting a person with Allah are indescribable by anyone and boundless, as mentioned in the following Quranic verse: "And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes as reward for what they used to do" As-Sajdah, 17. Dr. Zainab also described how the companions of the Prophet always competed with one another in doing good, giving charity, and seeking knowledge in order to gain a higher status before Allah, as mentioned in the following hadith: "On the authority of Abu Dhar, some of the prophet's companions said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the affluent have made of with the rewards, they pray as we pray they; fast as we fast; and they give away in charity the superfluity of their wealth'.; the Prophet replied, 'Has not Allah made things for you to give away in charity? every tasbihah (Subhan Allah) is a charity; every takbirah (Allah Akbar) is a charity; every tahmidah (Alhamdu lellah) is a charity; and every tahlilah (La ilaha illa Allah) is a charity... to the rest of the hadith". Dr. Zainab explained briefly the importance of the four dhikr phrases in the hadith and their virtues, citing the ayat (verses) and hadiths indicating so
