English Department in both Female and Male Sections Hosts an Open Day The English Department held an Open Day Ceremony, on Sunday, 27/06/1435 AH, in the College Honors Hall. The ceremony included the registration section as the first part, and after that the ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran presented by the student Abdullah Chayah. The, the Vice-Dean of the College Educational Affairs delivered a speech on the behalf of the Dean in which he expressed his joy and delight for taking such a step. Also, he praised the role of the department and its effective steps in succeeding the educational process, and called the other departments to take the English Departments as their beacon. In the end of his speech, he thanked those who are responsible for the ceremony including students and teaching members. Moreover, the English Department’s supervisor, Professor Manea Al-Harbi, delivered a speech which was translated by the student, Abdul Aziz Saoud Al-Sultan. And, as an expression of the Department’s talents, the student, Hamad Bin Sant Al- Mtiri, delivered a poem he wrote praising Sudeer region and its people and especially Al-Houta. Beside, by way of breaking the routine at concerts, here were a paragraph of Questions and Answers during which three questions were given to the audience in the department of the male students and other three questions to the female students. Then, awards were distributed after answering all the questions. Moreover, the department had honored the participating students and the winners from female students in the competitions which were held by the female department during the second semester of 1434/1435. Besides, there was the honoring section of the first male and female students who got the highest five cumulative averages in the department. At the end of the ceremony, the supervisor of the English department, Manea Al-Harbi thanked the Vice-Dean for accepting the invitation and all the attendees and invited them to lunch
