Dr. Elgilani Khalil, an Assistant Professor in the Department of English Language, was congratulated by the dean, Dr. Tariq Al-Bahlal and all staff for publishing his new book entitled "Linguistic Characteristics and Translation Strategies of English Medical".
The book addressed linguistics issues with a particular focus on linguistic features of medical language and strategies of translation from English to Arabic.
The linguistic features included acronyms, eponyms, collocations, synonymy.
The translation section featured a list the translation of all human body parts as well as the strategies of translating medical texts from English into Arabic.
