The Intellectual Awareness Unit organized on Wednesday a lecture entitled "The True Love of the Prophet Muhammad" by the Vice Dean of the Female Students Department, Dr. Noora Al Shahri.The presenter started the lecture with the verse from the Holy Quran: "If your father, your sons, your brothers, your husbands, your family, the money you have accumulated, the trade you cherish and the houses you love are more beloved than Allah, his Messenger and Jihad, wait for the Judgement Day. Allah does not guide the disobedient to the right path.”After that, Dr. Noora mentioned the benefits of the love of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as feeling the blessings of faith, for the Prophet is reported saying: "There are three qualities whoever has them will feel the blessings of Faith: To love Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ) more than anyone else; to love a slave (of Allah) only for (the sake of) Allah; and to abhor returning to infidelity as much as hating to be thrown into the Hellfire."; to be with the prophet in paradise, as reported by Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man asked the Prophet peace be upon him: “Messenger of God, when is the hour (Judgment Day)?” The prophet responded, “What have you prepared for it? The man answered, “The love of Allah and His Messenger.” Then the prophet said, “you are with whom you loved.”The lecture also included the important signs that show the love of the Prophet in the person as:• Hoping to see him and accompany him and his companions• Deserving his intercession• Sacrificing self and money for him• Honoring him and praying for him.
